ファンサイトプログラムのShadow Complexレビューキャンペーンに参加しました。XBOX LIVE ARCADEで8／19より配信されているShadow Complex。基本的には上下左右の移動のみの2Dアクションなものの、敵は奥行きを利用した攻撃を仕掛けてきたりと、3Dの要素もしっかりとある。スーパーファミコンでリリースされた往年のフラッシュバックを彷彿とさせるゲーム内容でパズル要素や謎解き要素も多く、この辺はプリンスオブペルシャにも通ずるものがある。また、音声・字幕ともに日本語にローカライズされているのは魅力だ。難易度は比較的高めであると感じられたので、初めてプレイする場合は難易度をCasualから始めたほうがいいかもしれない。835MBという要領からも想像できると思うが、XBLAとは思えないほどのボリュームがあるので、ぜひ一度デモ版をプレイし、面白いと感じられたらば、完全版をプレイしてみてほしい。TRIALS HDと一緒で2Dを3Dで表現する手法は、これからのトレンドとなるかもしれない。価格は1200マイクロソフトポイントで容量は835MBとなっているので、XBOX360アーケードユーザーはHDDが必要となる点に注意してほしい。

This video is of the sunken city of Zenithia in Dragon Quest V SFC． The castle lies at the bottom of the ocean and is connected to the Trolley Cave (Digger-Pokery)． With the help of Pusan the heroes find a hidden passage behind the throne of the deserted castle． Below they find a silver orb but a missing golden orb． Pusan claims this is the reason the castle remains submerged． A flashback occurs and the hero realizes where he has seen the golden orb before． It was found in Lenoire Castle while he was still a child． Later Gema smashed it after killing Papas． Pusan says that the orb must be found or another one made． He instructs the hero to visit the fairy queen who made the orbs to see about finding a replacement．
