’Nectaris’ is a turn-based strategy game originally devised for the PC-Engine console in 1989 and succeded by ’Neo Nectaris’ for the consoles’ Super CD-ROM² in 1994. In 1995 german developer Sunflower Entertainment made this version for PC/DOS which introduced a host of new units and over 60 new maps on 2 new planets (on some of which up to 4 factions may compete). If you managed to beat the predecessors with relative ease give this one a try as it boasts some fiendishly difficult maps that will make you tear your hair out. This installment in the series is almost unknown and there was not even one video for it on YouTube so I made one because most people who played and enjoyed Nectaris/Military Madness on the TG-16/PC-Engine probably either never heard of this version or never played it. Unfortunately the video is rather poor. My plan was to make a video that includes battle scenes showing a few of the units which are unique to this version but a few problems (explained in my other Nectaris video) hindered me. I actually had put together a video showing battle scenes as well as footage of this map in Windows Movie Maker which then stubbornly refused to render the thing so I gave up and just made this current version. Weird pauses/erratic cursor movements are just me hesitating counting hexes to avoid enemy attacks thinking and planning my next move ... or moving the cursor too far it is very fast with mouse controls ) The computer started with more units but b.../b
