1991年10月30日に行われたコナミの新作発表会で社長が直々にPCエンジン市場への参入を宣言。しかもグラディウス・沙羅曼蛇・パロディウスの発売という衝撃的なおまけ付き。PCエンジン情報誌は1992年１月号(1991年11月30日発売)でそのニュースを大々的に発表するも、その時すでにグラディウスは出荷済み(11月15日発売)という意味不明な体験をしたあの当時、私は同日発売のマジカルチェイスを(略)。その後コナミはスナッチャー・ドラキュラ・某メモリアルと高品質ゲーを連発し、今日に至るわけです。実はコナミシューティングを遊んだことがほとんど無いので今回は非常に新鮮でした。一応ノーミスですが素人丸出しプレイですので、玄人の方々はどうか暖かい目で見てやってください。結構、処理落ちが激しいです(実機＆連射使用)。

Redone and completed game and to replace the older individual vids． Grrrrrr that pink cloud stage got the best out of me as I lost 4 men there．． although 1 death got edited out．． if it wasn’t for being so troublesome (being pushed forward by those bubbles and then fearing teh flying bunnies and that ’unwinded’ woman gave birth to too many pixies)．．． I might have done this with one life．． Y_Y Again the pc engine version is a great conversion with some minor faults namely having 2 missing levels and a few slight pauses here and there almost as if its loading!

Yes there was a port of Parodius Da! for the NES and it wasn’t bad． Like I always said．． I may do more levels． This is just a run of level 1． This is a port of the arcade game alled Parodius Da! It was also on the Super Famicom PC Engine and Game Boy． I heard form the Gradius Base that the NES version added some new levels also． While not many changes have occured in this 8-bit port the music is scaled down． The music is still really excellent for an 8-bit system and the graphics remain a colourful splash-ala Parodius style． I used Good ol’ Vic Viper here．

This vid shows 4 special stages of the pc engine’s Gradius． Although I’m not 100％ certain what each needs some of these need certain requirements to get to： odd number in the 100th score column ie 100 300 500 700 the power-up bar mustn’t have anything highlighted ie use up all the power-up’s! There could be more If you know them please send info this way! Its much appreciated!! Thanks to a member from a gradius forum for this info XD

this is just some mysterious music to the pc engine version of parodius．． Reason why I say its mysterious is that I’ve no idea where they belong in the game．． I can only speculate that there must be several rare bosses in the special stage． I faintly remember seeing screenshots long long ago in a japanese pc engine magazine of some rare bosses but never encountered directly． any info is definitely appreciated!
