Onto-the-screen-footage. No chitchat. NEC PC Engine. Japanese. AV Picture. My favourite PC Engine Hu-Card of all time and the best SSP ever programmed in my opinion. The Famicom version is awful and this is a rare example of a PC Engine conversion actually being superior to the original PCB. It may lack the sprite scaling and rotation of it’s PCB parent but it’s slicker and infinately more playable. The PC Engine version sports one of the best covers ever a plastercine player 1 surrounded by foliage no less. An Emap darling at the time and a cult-classic today. Also available for the Jap PS2 as a port of the PCB. It’s my understanding that ’Don Doko Don’ from Japanese to English can translate as ’Knock Knock Knock’ ’Stomp Stomp Stomp’ ’Thump Thump Thump’ or ’Rat-a-tat-tat.’ Cheers. ` Forget Nintendo and Sega they are not even a spit in the ocean in terms of power and gameplay. Even the Amiga would be hard pushed when you come up against THE MOST POWERFUL CONSOLE IN THE WORLD. ` Who could forget the first time they saw the Japanese White PC Engine in English magazines? CVG`s Mean Machines? The Games Machine? ACE? `That` Micro Media Advertisement? The Western gaming World changed through grey importing and some people’s lives would never be the same again all thanks to the PC Engine. The 30th of October 2007 saw the PC Engine’s 20th Birthday and it would of been a crime to see it go uncelebrated and unmarked. That is why there was a PC Engine Party in South Tokyo (Meguro Line) Japan (in it`s home country) in an English Pub on Saturday 27th of October 2007 (again the English not only beating the Germans but doing it so much better). Admission was 4000 Yen and included Y3000 Yen for 4 hours nomihodai (anything from the bar ie draught Guinness draught Hoegaarden Long Island Ice Teas Gin Tonic etc) and 1000 Yen stake money. During the evening there was a PC Engine HuCard Contest (on the pub`s big screen telly) on the following titles: Vigilante World Court Tennis Takahashi Meijin no shin Boken jima Bomberman `94 Pac-Land Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition The winner scooped everyone’s stake money! These following titles were also played before and after the contest for fun: Be-Ball Devil Crash Bomberman Kato Chan Ken Chan Don Doko Don Drunken b.../b
