Recorded with PC Engine Duo-R and capture card Here it is Final Zone II played from beginning to end with ALL cut scenes. This used to make me pull my hair alot. Thanks to my shmup skills get ready to watch endless bouts of mind-splitting bullet dodging. This is the Japanese version so no cheesy English voice acting here. There is one more character I didn’t use at all in this run but I did from a previous video I made last year so click the video response to see how he is.

The music sounds kinda funny but you’ll forget it was there because there’s a hella lot of shooting but despite that this is where the difficulty really gets crazy! This stage put me on the edge gotta be mentally tough!

Original Air Date: November 11th 2009 So... I had this game for many years now and always wondered just how generic it was. I picked it up in a retro game shop and the first bad sign I had was that the manual was in Black White. It is one of like three Japanese games out of hundreds that I own with a BW manual. In fact the only other game I can think of off the top of my head is my Japanese Mega Drive version of the original Phantasy Star (which was more than a big letdown). Of course I’d seem like a bit of a jackass if I solely judged the quality of a game on its packaging so another sign was when the first game was released outside of Japan by Working Designs but not this game. Having never owned or played the original Vasteel I scoured the net for videos pictures and information. The resources are incredibly finite but what little I found showed that the game at least LOOKED superior to this game and this one was made about four years later... can you say ’we barely produced a sequel’? The game is developed by Human/Hunex who also developed the somewhat popular Relationship RPG game Blue Breaker. You can see a few remnants of this in the way certain segments are animated and the looks of some characters. This game is a Super CD-Rom2 game that even utilizes the Arcade Card but so far I have little idea where the hell all this ’upgrade’ power is going aside from the more seemless nature of cutscenes which is a nice touch (you’ll know what I mean if you b.../b

PC Engine CD Final Zone Intro
Showing off my NEC stuff. I’ve been getting alot of newb comments and PM’s from people regarding my Valis IV and Dracula X videos because they never heard of the system before. So why not end it now? Here’s what it looks like...one of the few variations of it anyway in Japan the PC Engine came in many forms while in America there was only three. I will tell some of why the Turbografx 16/Turbo Duo failed and Nintendo of America is partially the one to blame. Because they were already at war with Sega they had an anti-competitive and monopolistic strategy of hoarding third party developers and telling them they couldn’t make software for any other system than theirs. By the time the mid 1990’s rolled around the strategy was later then ruled illegal. Unfortunately the American branches of the third party developers we’re all familiar with still didn’t give a damn about the Turbo Duo and stuck to the Super Nintendo and Genesis. Which explains why we never saw any Konami games on the TG16 and Capcom arcade classics getting ported on the TG16 either by NEC or no-name developers. Dozens of Japanese PC Engine titles were slated for USA release but the plans all got axed due to their lack of interest. So like the Sega Saturn if people have that mindset that Turbografx 16 sucks because of its selection of games (don’t get me wrong TG16 had a bit over a handful of good games) they need to wake up and buy some Japanese PC Engine imports. It’s also said (don’t quote me on b.../b

Original Air Date: August 18th 2009 I always heard this game was funny but I never played it myself even though I’ve had it for a good while now... but this game is FUNNY. This game is like ’legendary’ funny. Sure you can play the Japanese version but then you’d be playing an average action game with adequate acting. If I’m going to play an unremarkable game it’d be great if it had something memorable and this game delivers. I don’t care what anyone says It’s totally worth it just for the acting alone. It’s pure unadultered bad voice acting at its finest...filled with man-on-man innuendo ’Oh Oh’ ’fancy action’ and all the terrible dialogue you can stand. After all you gotta love a guy who is said to be manipulated by ’those scums’ LOL! In fact this game is so funny that I’ve decided to upload footage of the entire game because this game should not be forgotten. If you listen to the dialogue long enough you might jizz in your pants. I hear that Last Alert is the worst (or rather even worse) so I can’t wait to play that. Oh but I digress. A little about the game here. It’s a VERY average top-down shooter and sequel to the Final Zone released for the Sega Genesis / Megadrive and the original Final Zone Wolf for MSX. Compared to the original and Genesis game the mood is very different and the game is noted for its (unintentional) comedic value. You get to play with various characters each with different weapons and attack patterns that shoot down b.../b
