Ah MM. This is pure oldschool RPGing right here. I love the music in the PC Engine version. It uses ambient techno which meshes well with the sci fi / fantasy theme of the MM games.

Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra is the third game in the role-playing game series Might and Magic. Released in 1991 it is the predecessor to Might and Magic IV: Clouds of Xeen and the sequel to Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World. After the defeat of Sheltem and his forces on CRON in Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World a new party of adventurers from Sheltem’s ’homeworld’ of Terra find themselves embroiled in the battle between the two Guardians. The adventurers must aid the mysterious Corak in attempting to stop Sheltem once again and putting an end to his evil machinations. In canon these adventurers are named Sir Caneghem Crag Hack Maximus Resurrectra Dark Shade Kastore Robert the Wise and Tolberti. Throughout the game the adventurers travel the Isles of Terra a grouping of separate flat ’nacelle’ worlds drawn from the Void onto the oceanic planet of Terra by Sheltem himself in previous years. Driven against the Ancients Sheltem is now launching their nacelles into the suns of various worlds snuffing out countless lives in his wake. Driven by the tales told in Corak’s journals regarding the Ancients the Elemental Lords and the ’Forces of the Dome’ the heroes pursue the Guardians battling terrors along the way. Finally the heroes enter the so-called ’Maze from Hell’ and earn the title of ’Ultimate Adventurers’ from the maze’s defenses. Uncovering revelations about Terra’s past they gain access to the Pyramids of the Ancients b.../b

Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer is a computer role-playing game developed for Microsoft Windows by New World Computing and released in 2000 by the 3DO Company. It is the eighth game in the Might and Magic series. The game received middling critical reviews a first for the series with several critics citing the game’s length and its increasingly dated game engine which had been left fundamentally unaltered since Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven in 1998. The character development system spells sound effects many of the sprites and even some gameplay tasks - including an Arcomage quest - were for the most part recycled from earlier games with little or non-notable tweaking Might and Magic VIII is based on the Might and Magic VI game engine and many of its elements are strongly similar to the previous two titles in the series. Unlike the previous two games however Might and Magic VIII introduces a new party management system that allows all but one of the five possible player characters to be hired dismissed or re-hired at any time during gameplay. The character class system used in the previous two games has similarly been overhauled with only the cleric and knight classes remaining. The experience spells levelling and skill system present in both previous Might and Magic titles is retained with only minor updates. A typical main game interface screen. In place of the traditional class system Might and Magic VIII features non-archetypical b.../b

This video is captured from the official demo which back in the day used to be the best form of trailer (videos were too big file size and too small resolution and very horribly artifacted back then). Might and Magic IV focuses on the events that had occurred after Might and Magic III. Trouble is stirring on the Nacelle world of Xeen. A mysterious villain by the name of Lord Xeen has claimed ownership of the land and is unleashing havoc throughout the Nacelle. A new band of adventurers must be formed to stop him and save the Land of Xeen. Might and Magic IV uses a game engine based on that used by Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra and the gameplay is almost identical. More emphasis is placed on cutscenes than in the earlier game possibly due to the availability of larger hard drives. This game and its successor Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen can be combined together to make one large game World of Xeen. In-game this is visualised as either game being a ’side’ of a flat rectangular planetoid. In the combined game areas in both games become available that are impossible to access in the standalone games. Both game’s endings can be achieved after either of which gameplay continues. A third ending is available in the combined games only. Might and Magic IV and V were some of the very first games to come out on CD. They are also the first games to come out where every character will ’speak’ to you via PCM sound that is recorded on the CDs the software plays b.../b

This is some gameplay from the Dark Messiah of Might and Magic PC demo. It’s a game that uses Valve’s Source engine (Half-Life 2 Team Fortress 2 Portal etc.) and has some of the best melee combat in any game of this particular genre. All settings maxed @ 1024x768. Song is from the Age of Wonders 2 soundtrack.

This video is captured from the official demo which back in the day used to be the best form of trailer (videos were too big file size and too small resolution and very horribly artifacted back then). Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen is a science fantasy computer role-playing game published and developed for multiple platforms by New World Computing in 1993. Based on the Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra game engine it is the fifth game in the Might and Magic series and is a direct sequel to Might and Magic IV: Clouds of Xeen concluding the story arc started in the original Might and Magic: Secret of the Inner Sanctum. Like its predecessors it was well-received by both critics and players for its large game world and graphics and was among the earliest games to make use of both animated cutscenes and PCM sound-based speech. Its unique integration mechanic with the game world of Clouds of Xeen allowing both games to be played in a combined format - World of Xeen - was considered revolutionary at the time.

Whats this? This is the first map of the PC game crysis edited by the sandbox2 editor from crytek. Buy it on Amazon: www.amazon.de It represents not the real framerate of the game with my computer system. I made this video just for fun in one day. The real framerate without rendering was around 0.2 that means every 5 seconds a picture in some parts so its not playable in realtime with this amount of barrels in the year 2008. To get this smooth video i recorded each frame and processed all pictures to a 30 frame/sec. video High quality video version @ rapidshare: rapidshare.com you can download the Crysis SP Demo (include Sandbox2 Editor) from: www.crysisdemo.com Other helpfull links: a physic map which is playable:) www.crymod.com Frame rendering in crisys: www.youtube.com www.facepunch.com where and how to start the editor: www.crymod.com To build a barrelhouse: Part 1 of 2 www.youtube.com Part 2 of 2 www.youtube.com Sandbox2 Manual: doc.crymod.com Other free maps tutorials and help with the sandbox editor: www.crymod.com System Windows Vista 32 Bit CPU: Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz RAM: 2.00 GB Patriot DDR2 2GB Kit PC8500 1066MHz Graphic: 1 x GigaByte NX8800Ultra 768MB 2160/612MHz NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra Song in the Video is: kalmah - Moon Of My Nights
