Original Air Date: August 18th 2009 I believe the intro for this game is almost exactly the same as the Sega CD (or rather Mega CD) game that I remember watching in shiroma3084’s channel a while ago... I really wonder what happened to him. The audio seems a little richer in this version and the artwork cleaner and more detailed but the Mega CD intro incorporated a few additional animations and colors in a few segments. While the TGCD opening is nicer looking IMO the Mega CD opening is closer to the original opening from the anime. The most notable difference is that the Mega CD version shows: a) A dragon that flies in the distance. b) Parn’s head turning to look at Deedlit. c) The horse riding segment is more colorized instead of using select colors and tones to illustrate the ride at sunset. d) There are dragons amongst the heroes at the end. The TGCD sequel RoLW2 uses the exact same song but the opening animation featuring Spark and company is somehow worse than the original game and it was made in 1994. Anyway this is the opening with song seperate from the gameplay. The gameplay also has the opening but it was requested afterwards if there could also be an intro-only video. Enjoy. Basic Format: CD-Rom² (CD-Rom2)

Original Air Date: August 18th 2009 This is the only video I’m uploading for now. I wasn’t going to make it originally since I accidentally formatted my data and lost all my hard work in this very very tedious game... but it was staring me in the face ever since I uploaded stuff for the Dreamcast game. I also have the sequel but I only played it a little bit and it seems even worse at a glance. This game is all about side quests and if you want to get anything done you’ll learn to like doing them. In fact one could almost say they’re mandatory because if you have any hopes of completing this game in a reasonable fashion you’ll want to do every single one. The problem with this game is in the leveling and encounter rates. Enemies not only offer a paltry sum of experience and money but the meager amount of exp. you earn is divided by each party member you gain. It gets better though because when you level up enemies give EVEN LESS exp. for some wicked reason I’m sure and quickly end up rewarding you with only one experience point. So once you’ve had your fill of battles you’ll be running from most random encounters every five seconds (if that) to preserve your strength and some enemies will really be brutal. You can rest up often whenever you go to camp and save just about anywhere but I can’t help but feel that it was a poor supplement for a more balanced adventuring experience. Quests are the only things that reward you with an even remotely decent amount of b.../b

Original Air Date: November 14th 2009 Alnam no Kiba is a strange...and...eh. It’s strange. The game is certainly playable but it isn’t very exciting and the main draw of the game is its awesome character design and voice acting. The first thing that probably turns some people off is the very unappealing visuals. The game looks very NES-ish in terms of spritework and while there are a few decent effects such as flowing water the game doesn’t really look like anything special. Spell effects are primitive and the Turbo CD was capable of better than this. However the game puts the CD media to decent use in the sound department. There are a lot of anime cutscenes with quality audio and spoken dialogue. The music is clear and some tunes are pretty nice to listen to. The gameplay from what I’ve played of the game is a mixed bag. You can kill enemies and gain EXP. points but you don’t immediately get money from killing enemies. Instead you must visit a kind of ’pay-out center’ to get money rewards from Lady Marieen. The amount varies depending on how many enemies you kill and what kinds of enemies you kill. Mage characters can learn spells by leveling up and they vary from typical healing attack defense etc. Characters can also perform team-up attacks that costs each character some MP. While it sounds awesome it’s very simplified and the team-up attacks are purely on a ’who is paired together’ fashion not something like Chrono trigger where Marle and Crono can do one b.../b
