Original Air Date: May 23rd 2009 Also known as ’That one Super Famicom puzzler where the computer doesn’t want to lose for anything’ it’s more or less your standard falling-object puzzler but with the cute Hebereke crew and with minor tweaks to tried-and-true formulas so as to make the game ’stand out’. Like Columns you match three items vertically horizontally or diagonally. Unlike Columns every move you make pretty much piles junk on your opponent even a simple triple pair. This game presents a frantic pace right out the gate and you can thwart an enemy attack rather easily so long as you match it with the specified color. The best way to win is by chaining with different color pairs to pull off a characters special attacks which differs depending on the character. The idea is to move quickly and this game makes that painfully clear. The very first opponent in this game on default difficulty fights as hard as some of the end-game bosses I’ve seen in other puzzle games (If given a chance) and if you don’t adapt quickly you’re toast. Aggression is the name of the game... well it’s not but you get the idea. Anyway this game ain’t bad! We also own the rarer PAL version of this game which is somewhat hard to come by complete (Hebereke’s Popoon) where the dialogue and such was actually translated instead of removed. This game was never released in the US and we picked it up from a collector in the UK who was holding on to his for over ten years. It’s not b.../b

Original Air Date: January 12th 2009 Wee Hebereke! This is a Japanese falling object puzzler similar to Dr. Mario. It was also released for the Super Famicom in Japan and PAL territories and was also released on the Playstation. We just play around and build up points. Enjoy.

This is some gameplay footage for Hebereke’s Popoon on the SNES. The game is a bit of an obscure SNES title. From the looks of things this game was never released in America and only released in Europe and Japan. I picked the game up for £3 from a thrift store.

Puzzle game that plays kind of like Puyo Puyo except you match 3 pieces together instead of 4 you can only match them in a straight or diagonal line and every move you make will send garbage to your opponent. Matches in this game can take quite a while depending on who you’re playing against.
