I remember how much I used to like this game growing up and how good I used to be at this Uniracers and Super Punch-Out!! in particular... good times. I played this game on a whim without any practice or warm-up and I don’t really remember much of the reasons why I liked this game. Maybe it was the 3D graphics which just seemed impressive coming from a cartridge of the time (though they don’t take up as much of the screen as most SNES/SFC games) or the ability to actually ride around the circuits as you feel with no invisible walls preventing you from flying over ledges (though most of the time you’ll get penalized for doing so) or the diversity of tracks bumps hills and obstacles. It just doesn’t have quite the same impact as it did back in the mid 90s but it’s not a bad game. You can choose from eight different dirt bike racers with their own stats and music and the game controls well even though it might look pretty rough watching the video. The reason the game handles so well is because you can turn normally with the control pad or add some extra oomph with the L and R buttons to power steer. The game can be played by up to four people I believe and the framerate is tolerable enough. This is roughly fifteen minutes of the game in action. Enjoy.
