It’s time for some more new videos! People know we play all sorts of games and we’re not sexist so here’s another game for the ladies (although mainly guys will watch it I imagine): Super Fire Pro Wrestling Queen’s Special. It’s the second of two SFC FPW All Women’s Pro-Wrestling games made more epic as it’s based on the ’legendary’ Fire Pro gameplay system. It’s not ryona folks it’s AJW. SFPW is a great game that could have been on the same level as the main FPW games if a little more work was done on it. It’s still good fun with lots of wrestlers (Being or being based on real Japanese female wrestlers like ’Bull’ Keiko Nakano though they removed the photos perhaps for licensing reasons). The game has been completely overhauled in the visual department. The characters have more detail and animate beautifully but four-player matches suffer as a result of this with loads of sprite flickering though the framerate at least doesn’t really drop. I think that should have been fixed as it wasn’t present nearly as much in ASDS. You can play even more modes and create wrestlers in this game not to mention characters have even more great-looking moves to brutalize the opponent with. Hit detection with punches and kicks has been vastly improved so wearing opponents down is a breeze. Otherwise it’s mostly the same with the timed grabs locks and counters. This is a good wrestling title for the SNES/SFC especially if you like and know some of the female wrestlers. I don’t b.../b
