Original Air Date: September 29th 2009 Farland Story is the first of many SRPG games popular in China Korea and Japan and has since inspired other titles within the genre. The story centers around a powerful lord named Arc who’s love Ferio is kidnapped by a mysterious black knight and he travels around the world with his friends and comrades trying to rescue her. This game’s charm comes from its simplicity and effectiveness. You can liberate towns (and shop in them) find hidden treasures use special attacks and gain levels. This game is more about teamwork compared to some SRPGs as dividing your team without just cause can be rather troublesome. There are better strategy games for the SFC but Farland Story is okay. Its SFC ’sequel’ is better. This is a small sample of the game. Enjoy.

Not to be confused with the PC-98 game ’Farland Story Denki: Arc Ou no Ensei’ (which is the proper second game in the series) Farland Story 2 (or ’Farland Story 2: Dance of Destruction’) for the SFC is a side-story which takes place after the second game. Part of a long-running series of strategy games which are popular in Japan China and Korea I’ve had the first SFC Farland Story for a while now but had ordered the sequel not too long ago (about a month or two) to finish the set. Most of the PC-98 titles have been fan-translated. Released towards the end of 1995 the game takes place roughly 20 years after the end of the first game. Arc (translated as ’Ark’ in the manual) who is now a king and is with his love Ferio has brought peace to all of Felsaria until one day a small country on the outskirts of Ionia known as Val desires power and starts conquering neighboring regions growing in its power and influence. Now a threatening entity that deems itself the Valdez Empire they sought world domination. Led by the wicked king Nereido they reach a roadblock in their world conquest in the form of Arc and his kingdom but have heard rumors that a young girl holds the key to crushing all in their path. The young girl in question is Salina a dancer from the ancient Kentoone clan that possess strange powers. They speculate she can execute the forbidden ’Dance of Death’ which is declared one of the greatest and most powerful abilities in the world. If they can get b.../b

Original Air Date: October 25th 2008 (Revised Today! Originally an intro it now encompasses eight minutes of random gameplay.) I was thinking of just re-uploading the introduction for this game but someone commented in this video on my old account about a month ago and it annoyed me. The person basically said ’Any battle movie in youtube??’. The person didn’t offend me by what they said but after checking around sure enough there were no battle movies or any real gameplay videos for the game. The annoying part? I get bothered by the huge surplus of games on YouTube (particularly Japanese) that have nothing but intros and/or endings but don’t show what the games look like outside of that. I always told myself that I would go back and add these gameplay samples eventually but me and my bro are only two people... this video was uploaded over a year ago and there are still very few samples for games like this. The thing that bugs me the most about this particular situation is that the ’Farland’ series isn’t exactly what you’d call ’obscure’ so I’m kind of surprised to not see much on the series outside of movie rips on YT. I’m currently in the middle of re-uploading Saturn videos but I’m not re-uploading any games that just have intros without adding gameplay to them too... this means all those generic/weird games I have sitting around that don’t have any real gameplay footage like Tanjou Debut S Hyper Securities S Riglord Saga 2 Eve: The Lost One blah blah blah b.../b
