Recorded with NES system w/Famicom converter and capture card. First two stages of Gradius II on the Famicom. It never made it out of Japan for the same reason why Nintendo of America removed the cut scenes and stage map out of Contra: It contains the VRC4 chip which made Gradius II capable of displaying some beautiful graphics for 8-bit but Nintendo of America thought it would be too expensive to exploit such technology.
The game was first ported to the Family Computer in 1988. It was never released outside of Japan. The game also features a mapper chip which enhanced some of the game’s graphics and sounds.
