東亜プラン開発、タイトー発売のシューティングゲーム「TATSUJIN（達人）」を中途半端にプレイ。流石にアーケード版までは行きませんが、メガドライブ版より上手く移植できていると思います。まぁ、メガドライブ版はセガ製でPCエンジン版はタイトー製ですからねぇ。移植されるのも遅かったし。最終面sm2943944、アーケード版sm2882815、メガドライブ版sm687308、PCエンジン版メドレーsm6302126

Truxton - Stage 1 (Far Away) Music

Tatsujin (aka Truxton) for the pc-engine is a classic Toaplan shooter． The arcade was known to be tough as nails and the pc-engine port is no exception． It’s difficulty on just normal mode is downright ludicrous． So tough that for this video I had to play it on easy mode with save-states． I cooked the final boss the Raiden way but trust me he doesn’t go down easy without full powerups and bombs． One of his attacks are hard to dodge especially when he’s close to the bottom screen． I shudder to think what this boss is really like on ’expart’ mode． Most of the stage bosses are pretty weak I have to say they usually have one or two attacks that are predictable． IMO the real threat of this game are the minibosses． They either come in twos or fours throughout the stages and tag your butt all over the place with a barrage of bullets． I just wished the programmers would add a tate mode． That would make things easier to plan my next move if I knew whats coming next． In everything else the controls music sfx and use of colors are way above the Megadrive port． Of course I also enjoyed playing the MD port it’s less frustrating and fun overall． Definitely the PCE port is not meant to be played for fun． This game will bring out the worst in you． It’s geared towards the masochist shmup player with OCD someone like me LOL． IIRC I got this game 4 years ago and I got to 3rd stage on normal mode only once． I try and keep trying but I don’t know if it’s possible to beat this game ever．

I only used the Game Genie so I can play the import Tatsujin cart I have on my NA Genesis． No cheats were used． This is the real deal．

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999． Returning in 2008 with new episodes Classic Game Room breaks out a review of TRUXTON for the Sega Genesis 16 bit video game console． Truxton on the Sega Genesis is an exciting shooter one of the best on the Genesis according to some people． This game is a tough vertical scrolling space shooter like Fire Shark in the depths of the universe． It is a video game in the SHMUP genre of classic games and like many SHMUPS you collect power ups and fly around destroying waves of bad guys with laser beams electro bolts of lightning and green things． Truxton is produced by TOAPLAN． Toaplan made many shooters by Toaplan like Fire Shark and always put a lot of care into their games． This version of Truxton is a US release presumably this game originated from Japan and has a Japanese version． If you are in England or Europe or Brazil you’d play this game on the MEGA DRIVE (aka Megadrive) and rock the MD with some serious Truxton action． Truxton sounds like a 1980’s hair band right up there with Trixter Winger Bullet Boys Slaughter Skid Row Warrant and Cinderella． That gypsey road can take me home all the way to an awesome game of TRUXTON!!!!!! TRUXTON!!!!!! Available on LP record (aka vinyl) and possibly demo cassette or 8-track but b．．．／b
