Original Air Date: April 17th 2009 I don’t know why this wasn’t moved over to my current account sooner... eh. Anyway from the people who brought folks games like Langrisser (Warsong for the lucky) Power of the Hired and many others comes yet another strategy game for the Mega Drive: Vixen 357 by Masaya (also known as Mesaia or Messiah) and NCS developed in 1992. No the plot has nothing to do with hot and naughty women it deals with futuristic warfare in the late 25th century giant robots and an evil empire that seeks world domination. It’s decent enough. Led by the young ace commander Takuya Murasawa (age 22) a skilled VECTOR (Versatile Combat Trooper Of Robot) you are out to defeat the Heavenly Emperors who seek to rule the world with an iron fist. Along the way you will meet other skilled pilots that want to learn the truth behind what’s going on get revenge fight in the name of justice etcetera. When everything is said and done the game functions much like Langrisser but with robots and with a little more micro-management. You can choose different weapons for long and short range attacks adjust what kind of robots your characters will pilot and do typical things like monitor terrain effects. The thing I don’t like about this game is the music. I think the majority of the music in this game is boring and when it’s coming from the same people who bring out stuff like Langrisser that’s an additional turnoff (Langrisser has awesome music).
